Feedback form is now closed.
This workshop will explore the parallel, and often contrasting and contradicting, representation of Latinx people in mainstream media, particularly TV, and advertisement. Together, we will analyze and gain a greater understanding of the social and economic forces behind the representation of Latinx people, particularly in light of Latinx people as a growing demographic in the U.S. and their increasing purchasing power. This workshop will rely on students’ active participation through a group activity.
